We presently have an employment opportunity for a Facilities and Maintenance Administrator in our operation. In this role, the Facilities and Maintenance Administrator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across dealership facilities, ensuring optimal building performance, safety, and reliability in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. This role also oversees and supports the procurement and acquisition of materials, equipment, services, and general supplies needed for facility operations and business functions.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
- Overseas preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and other critical systems.
- Conduct routine site inspections to identify issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor building systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and uptime.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Support installation, repair, and upgrades of facility systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Track and analyze maintenance data.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Coordinate and prioritize work orders while maintaining appropriate inventory levels, including setting reorder points, forecasting demand, determining delivery timing and quantities, and verifying receipt of goods and services.
- Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors and service providers.
- Requests and review proposals, monitor work quality, and ensure timely project completion while identifying and partnering with reliable vendors or suppliers to secure quality goods and services at competitive prices.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in safety inspections and audits.
- Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in commercial or automotive dealership environments.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, and general building infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficient in sourcing and vendor management.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bilingual – English and Spanish
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Availability to respond to requests on weekends and/or after hours.
