Role Description The Jr. Engineer role at Beam On Technology is a full-time, on-site position based in Santa Clara, CA. This role supports the design and implementation of SMT stencils, tooling, and fixtures under the guidance of senior engineers. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with CAD design and documentation, preparing technical drawings, and supporting prototyping and production runs for laser stencils, multi-level stencils, and custom fixtures. The Jr. Engineer will help perform basic measurements and quality checks, collect test data, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in precision and process efficiency. This role also involves coordinating with production and customer service teams, clarifying technical requirements, and maintaining accurate records of engineering changes.
Qualifications
- Foundational mechanical or electrical engineering skills, including understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
- Basic proficiency with CAD or similar design tools for creating and updating technical drawings and fixture designs.
- Ability to perform measurements, interpret tolerances, and follow quality control procedures in a production environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineering, production, and customer-facing teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Santa Clara, CA, and support hands-on tasks in a manufacturing setting.
- Computer skills and understand of Soli Works is a plus
- Interest or experience in SMT, electronics manufacturing, or precision tooling is highly beneficial.
