The Role

You’ll play a hands-on HR generalist role across talent acquisition, data and processes, org design, and performance management—working with professionals across the organization to turn strategy into action. As a key partner to the business and the Sr. Director of People, you’ll help shape and scale impactful People practices in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

- Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and morale across our teams
- Lead hiring efforts—workforce planning, requisitions, compensation benchmarking, and job description development and revisions
- Manage cross-boarding, promotions, and internal mobility processes
- Build strong partnerships with leaders and team members to drive people strategy and execution
- Collaborate with L&D to support talent growth, feedback, promotions, and compensation planning
- Champion a positive, inclusive culture through innovative programs and initiatives that lead to strong engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor on a wide range of people and business challenges
- Coach leaders on performance management, development, and employee relations
- Strengthen and drive team engagement, morale, retention, and productivity
- Guide organizational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives
- Use and analyze data and trends to inform smart, scalable solutions for people issues
- Ensure consistent, thoughtful application of HR policies and practices
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years in senior HR business partner or HR Manager roles
- Experience working with talent under a Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders across functions and levels with vary levels of management experience
- Strong communicator—clear, confident, and able to simplify complex topics
- Skilled in change management, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- High emotional intelligence and sound judgment
- Event management and planning experience for employee events
- Good working knowledge of HR laws at the federal level, as well those specific to the state and city of New York
- Knowledge of employee benefits, worker’s compensation, and leave administration
- Experience in real estate, capital markets, asset management, tech, or similar a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems
- Preferred: HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) and Predictive Index experience
