We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team and help patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and root planing (SRP)
- Conduct periodontal charting, risk assessments, and oral cancer screenings
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (BWX, FMX, panoramic)
- Apply sealants and fluoride treatments in accordance with state law
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Accurately document care in the EHR
- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols per OSHA standards
- Collaborate with dentists on treatment plans and support recall efforts
- Participate in daily huddles and team meetings
Required Skills and Certifications
- Active state Dental Hygiene license
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience
- Current CPR certification
- Radiography/X-ray certification (as required by state law)
- Proficiency with ultrasonic and hand instrumentation
- Strong patient communication skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Physically able to assist patients and perform clinical tasks (standing, lifting, etc.)
Preferred Skills
- Local anesthesia certification (if state-licensed)
- Nitrous oxide monitoring permit
- Experience with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental)
- Bilingual abilities
