Dental Assistant

Job Summary

Beam Dental is seeking a friendly, motivated, and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. We are looking for a candidate with 1–2 years of dental assisting experience who is passionate about patient care and eager to grow within a supportive and modern dental office.

The ideal candidate will assist our dental team in delivering high-quality care, maintaining a smooth clinical workflow, and creating a positive experience for every patient.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols
• Take dental X-rays while following all safety guidelines
• Review & Maintain accurate patient records, medical history and documentation
• Support seamless patient flow by ensuring timely patient seating, minimizing wait times, and keeping the clinical schedule on track. Assist with appointment scheduling and schedule coordination as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment recommendations
• Support the clinical team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
• Utilize Dentrix Ascend for patient management and record-keeping
• Assist with digital scanning and imaging when applicable (Itero)

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of dental assisting experience needed
• Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Dentrix Ascend preferred
• X-ray certification preferred
• Orthodontic Assisting preferred
