Role Description The Senior Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cherryville, NC. This position oversees all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Daily responsibilities include coordinating project activities, managing subcontractors and Beam’s self-perform crews, monitoring progress, and resolving field issues in collaboration with superintendents and trade partners. The Senior Construction Project Manager reviews drawings and specifications, prepares and updates schedules, tracks costs and change orders, and maintains project documentation. The role also involves leading project meetings, communicating with clients, design teams, and inspectors, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on site.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Construction Project Management and Construction Management skills to lead multiple projects and self-perform crews effectively.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Coordination skills to organize schedules, resources, and stakeholder communication across all phases of construction.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to manage estimates, cost tracking, change orders, and financial forecasting for complex projects.
- Several years of progressive experience in commercial construction, preferably including educational, healthcare, religious, or office projects.
- Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or comparable tools), and familiarity with digital plan review tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices, with a strong commitment to jobsite safety.
- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, with clear verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; professional certifications (such as PMP or CM-BIM) are a plus.
