Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, welcoming manner.
- Assist patients in understanding their treatment plans and options.
- Explain associated costs and out-of-pocket expenses.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, including follow-ups.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and assist with appointment scheduling.
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payment details.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Serve as the main point of contact for treatment, scheduling, and billing questions.
- Coordinate communication between patients, dental providers, and office staff.
- Handle patient intake forms, updates, and necessary documentation.
- Provide general administrative support as needed (e.g., filing, faxing, scanning).
Required Skills and Certifications
- Previous treatment coordinator experience in a dental office, preferably working with orthodontics patients as well.
- Fluency in Korean (verbal and written) is required to effectively communicate with a predominantly Korean-speaking patient population
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office, dental management software).
- A friendly and professional demeanor, with excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to operate media equipment such as tablets, smartphones, and other electronic equipment
- Minimum typing speed of 40-60 WPM
- Ability to work with and understand databases a must and the ability to learn technical skills
- Essential physical skills; be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift at least 50 pounds (or ¼ of body weight).
- Must have enough endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
- Microsoft Office 365; Teams; Visio; and OneNote preferred.
- Working knowledge of ADP and WFN a plus.
In addition to hourly pay, this role is eligible for monthly incentives tied to case closures.
