About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Aero Club, Beale AFB, CA.
This position is a Regular Full time (35-40 hours per week).

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Experience managing/overseeing business operations for a small club or activity (i.e., developing expense reports, interpreting business reports, & financial records, scheduling of staff, supply & inventory procedures, planning and programming of club activities, etc). Experience managing and administering a safety and maintenance program in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and policies. OR Bachelor's degree in aviation, airport management, business management and PPL; or Associate Degree in Aviation Management or related field of study; and be a Certified Flight Instructor of PPL with Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics (A&P) certification.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the economical and efficient operation of the Aero Club. Monitors the various activities involved in club operations to ensure sound business management practices are being applied. Administers a safety program, using all available resources, ensuring the safest possible flying environment. Coordinates with marketing team to develop marketing ideas to enhance business operations. Develops budgets and financial plans that include membership activities, drives and recreational flying activities. Arranges membership activities, drives and recreational flying activities. Maintains all operational and administrative records to include: training, maintenance, safety and scheduling in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensures all required publications, tools and materials are available and current. Upholds high standards of aircraft safety and maintenance.Certifies facility operations comply with all FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) and Air Force regulations. Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures and PIFs (Pilot information file). Promotes, organizes and supervises all flight training to include duties as Manager FAR (Federal Aviation Regulation) Part 141 certified flight school. Ensures flight/ground training materials are pertinent to the courses. Prioritizes maintenance of aircrafts. Directs NAF and contract mechanics. Forecasts and procures replacement of aircraft engines and propellers, avionics and parts. Accountable for club equipment and performing property inventories.
