Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor- Wilton

Beal University is searching for an Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor for the Wilton, ME location.

General Summary:

The adjunct clinical nursing instructor is responsible for facilitating the clinical education and hands-on learning experiences of nursing students in healthcare settings. This role involves supervising students during their clinical rotations, providing guidance in patient care, demonstrating nursing procedures, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and safety standards. The adjunct clinical nursing instructor evaluates student performance, delivers constructive and objective feedback, and collaborates with academic faculty and healthcare staff to support student development and align clinical experiences with curriculum objectives. Strong communication skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to professional nursing education are essential for success in this role.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Communicate to all students in your clinical group within 3 business days of the clinical start to inform them of a time and place to meet for the first clinical. 
• Arrive on time and stay the entire scheduled time for clinical.  
• Remain available to students while on the unit. 
• Offer supplemental learning opportunities during down times (programming IV pumps, EKG reading, wound care, etc...).  
• Facilitate a clinical debrief each shift to include students giving an SBAR report on at least one patient. 
• Encourage and facilitate students to critically review the medications that their patients are taking. 
• Reach out to the program director early if there are any students with questionable abilities (given where they are in the program) so that a remediation plan can be developed.  
• Turn in the signed and completed evaluation forms to the program director by Wednesday of week 8. 
• Have students chart assessments, vitals, and daily care on at least one patient, with review and verification by you each shift. 
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Education and Knowledge:

• Must have an active RN license in the state of Maine. 
• Must have a BSN
• Must be able to demonstrate a command of theory and practice, contemporary knowledge, and continuing study in their field. 
• Must meet and maintain accreditor requirements for educational degree level and appropriate field experience. Refer to CNEA programmatic standards and ACCSC Standards of Accreditation and Bylaws ACCSC standards. 
• 4 Years of experience working as a licensed RN

Pay: $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per month
