CSG is actively searching for sharp, critical thinking individuals with an interest in deep value lending to join the organization as Investment Analysts. This role requires strong accounting and finance skills combined with a desire to develop business acumen.
The position is on-site in our Plano, TX headquarters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to)
- Review new investment opportunities primarily through broadly syndicated loans and/or bilateral originated transactions
- Review materials provided by potential borrowers or their advisors
- Perform fundamental credit analysis
- Prepare excel models of prospective borrowers
- Analyze capital structure and credit documentation
- Assess financial, operating and bankruptcy/restructuring prospects
- Prepare investment presentations
- Review due diligence provided by third party providers
- Perform direct due diligence
- Research companies, industries and debt markets
- Monitor and evaluate existing loans
- Work on special projects from time to time as requested
- Passion for deep value lending
- Desire to learn about various businesses and industries
- Understanding of accounting and financial statements
- Excel modeling skills
- Bachelor’s degree, with substantial exposure to some combination of accounting, finance and economics
- 0 years of related work experience; this position is for recent graduates
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- How to underwrite and due diligence potential lending transactions
- How to negotiate and document large credit transactions
- How to protect the lender’s interests over the life of the loan
- How to manage a loan from origination to payoff
