Job Summary
Bead Jewelries is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Associate to join our boutique jewelry store. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has an interest in jewelry, gemstones, fashion, or accessories, and is comfortable providing personalized customer service.
Duties
The Sales Associate will assist customers with selecting jewelry and merchandise, operate the store’s point-of-sale system, maintain the appearance of the store, and assist with daily retail operations.
Responsibilities
● Greet customers and provide welcoming, attentive customer service.
● Assist customers in selecting jewelry, gemstones, beads, accessories, and other merchandise.
● Explain product features and basic information about gemstones and jewelry.
● Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system accurately.
● Process cash, credit/debit card, and other customer transactions.
● Restock merchandise and maintain organized displays.
● Help create and maintain attractive product displays.
● Keep the sales floor and store clean, organized, and inviting.
● Assist with inventory organization and basic inventory tasks.
● Package customer purchases and prepare merchandise for display.
● Answer customer questions and assist with resolving customer concerns professionally.
● Work independently when needed and follow store procedures.
● Perform other reasonable duties related to the daily operation of the store.
Skills
● Previous retail or customer-service experience preferred, but not required.
● Friendly, outgoing personality and good communication skills.
● Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
● Comfortable interacting with customers.
● Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
● Basic computer and cash-register/POS skills.
● Interest in jewelry, gemstones, fashion, or accessories is a plus.
● Must be willing to work some weekends and/or holidays, depending on the store schedule.
Physical Requirements
● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
● Ability to lift and move light merchandise and supplies.
● Ability to bend, reach, organize displays, and perform routine store duties.
