Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Monitors and supervises site activities and daily operations
- Supervises, schedules, trains, and evaluates Direct Support Professionals
- Ensures appropriate staff coverage at all times; works a flexible schedule based on program needs to model for and closely supervise Direct Support Professionals
- Maintains designated budget to include weekly budgeted staffing hours, house petty cash, and other assigned monies and resources; acts as petty cash custodian for all individuals and house funds
- Communicates and coordinates with families, members of the Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), the individual’s day program and other providers of services and supports as necessary and appropriate
- Monitors persons’ health to include medication administration and documentation, medical follow up, and appropriate nutrition
- Carefully monitors and supports individual specific needs such as medical, behavioral, mental health and other needs
- Assists individuals to develop daily living skills by identifying and meeting social, environmental and health care needs
- Abilities to participate in on-call rotation to manage after business hours’ crises and urgent situations
Qualifications
What You Bring:
✔ Education & Experience: Degree in human services preferred, OR experience supporting individuals with disabilities/behavioral challenges. ✔ Leadership Skills: Prior supervisory experience is a plus. ✔ Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and handle challenges with empathy. ✔ Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation (Must have a clean driving record). ✔ Pass Background Checks: state background check and required state screenings.
