What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at Beacon Recycling Inc?
The primary responsibility of the Part-Time Logistics Coordinator is to coordinate and dispatch drivers across all Beacon locations to customer accounts, ensuring efficient routing and coverage. This is a part-time position, up to 29 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITILIES
- Receive and answer customer calls, emails, and texts
- Dispatch drivers based on customer requests
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliveries and follow up/follow through when needed
- Build and maintain strong, in-depth relationships with all our customers
- Communicate with other departments on a regular basis regarding shipments
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
- 3 years of experience in Logistics
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Excellent computer skills, including Logistics, ERP and Microsoft Office software
- Current or prior CDL certification
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multitask
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to proactively ensure adherence to local, state and federal guidelines.
