Hour: Monday- Friday 7:30-4:00 or 7:30-4:30No Evenings, Weekends or Holidays!Position Responsibilities/Standards: Responsible for assisting physician in patient care, performing all necessary x-rays, with a high degree of quality, escort patients to rooms, medical assistance as needed, order medical and x-ray supplies, maintain x-ray records.GeneralAttend department, clinic or company meetings as requiredDemonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concernsConsistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members.Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.Attend required annual in-service programs.Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures. Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor.Specific DutiesEscort patients to x-ray suitePrepare patients for x-rayPerform x-rays as required by physiciansDocument procedure performed in log bookEscort patients back to exam roomsCommunication with physicians, patients and staffMedical assistance as neededBe available to physicians during office hoursEnsure equipment is maintained properlyOrder x-ray supplies as neededPulling, filing and mail back of x-rays.Answer patient questionsAdditional DutiesTravel to other JIS locations as necessary.OSHAFiling as needed – within 24 hoursEducation/Experience Required:Must be ARRT and have an Ohio Radiography license.Must be friendly, courteous and have good communication skills when greeting patients.Physical Requirements:Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects. Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel. Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift 25-50 lbs.
