Summary:
As an intern for the M&A team, you will work on client projects as part of a team and be responsible for problem-solving. You will play a key role in gathering and analyzing data, assisting in discussions with clients, and contributing to the team’s recommendations for acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and business analysis of healthcare companies, focused on oral surgery.
- Assist team in NDA creation, creating questions for potential acquisition targets, lead data gathering and analysis (including creating an income statement and understanding key balance sheet items)
- Creating diligence questions based on data received and identifying missing information to prepare a business case for the investment committee.
- Data room management, diligence list creation, diligence gathering, managing workstreams for third party diligence vendors. Detailed process and support will be provided to create a foundation. Strong candidates will demonstrate an ability to learn and lead the process in 3-4 months.
- Support data analysis for internal consumption – market data trends, EBITDA trends by acquisition, acquisition pipeline reporting using a CRM utilized by the team.
- Attend weekly meetings with investment committee
- Identify issues and help form hypotheses and solutions to address client questions.
- Work with the team to synthesize findings and refine recommendations.
- Develop and edit slide presentations or other communications to clearly convey insights and recommendations of the team.
- Monitor important developments, initiatives, news, legislation, corporation activities related to M&A transactions.
- Support in the preparation of marketing documents for M&A transactions (e.g. Memorandum of Information, Management Presentations, etc.).
- Assist in the elaboration of financial valuations (LBO, DCF).
- Assist in the preparation of business proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Excellent proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel and basic PowerPoint are a must) and other reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills

- Ability to work with teams, and independently to prioritize tasks.
- Strong finance basis and company valuation techniques.
- Workload varies and may require evenings / weekends
- Physical requirements include driving, flying, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time.
