Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Marina Dockhand to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with dock and marina maintenance, and support various operational tasks to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for boaters and visitors. This role requires hands-on work, mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist marina guests with check-in, questions, and general inquiries, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Perform cleaning duties around the marina, including dock areas, pools, and common spaces to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Conduct routine dock maintenance, including handling boat tie-ups, assisting with mooring, and ensuring docks are in good condition.
- Support with mechanical tasks related to marina equipment or small engines as needed.
- Assist with cutting tasks related to marina operations or maintenance projects.
- Support pool cleaning activities to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Perform general upkeep tasks such as minor repairs and ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout the marina.
Requirements
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or aptitude for working with mechanical systems is advantageous.
- Ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently and thoroughly.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable work ethic with attention to detail and safety procedures.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
