POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides community-based nursing and medication management services to adults with serious mental illness. This role is responsible for completing nursing assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, administering prescribed medications, monitoring medication management and adherence, addressing physical and behavioral health needs, and providing education to support clients in developing greater independence with medication self-administration. The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with psychiatrists, pharmacies, treatment team members, and community providers to coordinate care, promote recovery, and support successful transitions to traditional services.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Current unrestricted Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License;
- A minimum of three years nursing experience, with a minimum of one-year psychiatric nursing experience serving seriously mentally ill adults strongly preferred.
