The Beacon Light and Supply Co. is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Warehouse / Delivery Driver to join our team. This full-time position combines warehouse operations and delivery responsibilities and is ideal for an experienced individual who can handle a fast-paced environment and a wide range of daily tasks.
Standard Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Full-time, with over time as needed
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including medium to large sized box trucks (no CDL required)
- Deliver materials to customers and job sites throughout Connecticut
- Load, unload, and organize materials safely and accurately
- Receive, unload, and put away incoming materials
- Pick and stage customer orders for delivery and pickup
- Verify delivery paperwork and obtain required signatures
- Ensure material deliveries are correct and all customer needs are met
- Process damaged freight claims
- Maintain a safe and orderly work area
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and vehicle
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a 26ft box truck (no CDL required)
- Must pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Minimum 3 years of relevant warehouse, delivery, or logistics experience
- Must be able to safely lift and move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Compensation & Benefits
- $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
