Cost Accountant

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support one of our great clients! • Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and production variances to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for operational improvement.

• Maintain and update standard costing systems, including bill of materials (BOM), labor standards, and overhead allocations.

• Prepare and review monthly cost reports, inventory reconciliations, and margin analysis to support accurate financial reporting.

• Partner with operations, production, and supply chain teams to monitor production efficiency and ensure accurate cost tracking.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning, providing insights to support strategic financial decisions.

• Support month-end close processes, including journal entries, inventory valuation, and variance analysis related to manufacturing costs.

To be considered for this role, you need to have at least the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

• Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, variance analysis, and cost allocation methods.

• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with operations, production, and finance teams.
