Beacon Healthcare Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) MDS Coordinator to complete regulatory assessments for the residents in our St. Joseph, MO location. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, cool-tempered, and will have experience in providing diverse basic care to those who need it. Must be organized and able to follow timelines for required assessments and report to the Director of Nursing. Our goal is to promote patient wellness by providing the highest quality of nursing care in the area. Responsibilities
- Record patients’ medical history accurately
- Coordinate Care Planning and Assessments with team members
- Complete MDS Assessments in a timely manner
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions
- Direct staff as necessary
- On-Call rotation with Nursing Administration
Skills
- Proven experience as RN or similar role
- Experience with the MDS Assessment federal and state regulations.
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work with a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- BLS certification preferred
- A true passion for caring for the elderly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
