Location: Memorial Hospital of South Bend
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | Rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call

As an EMT on our elite Transport Team, you’ll play a vital role in patient safety, stabilization, and interfacility transport throughout our health network and partner locations. What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality prehospital and interfacility patient care under the supervision of the Medical Director

• Respond to a variety of medical emergencies including trauma, respiratory distress, cardiac events, and pediatric/neonatal conditions

• Collaborate with Paramedics, Nurses, and Physicians during critical transports

• Monitor and document patient vitals, clinical status, and treatments during transport

• Operate ambulance communications and GPS systems; maintain updated transport protocols

• Administer oxygen, perform airway management, and assist with suctioning and stabilization

• Support traumas and codes within the hospital as needed

• Maintain ambulance readiness: restocking, cleaning, and equipment checks

• Rotate into wheelchair van shifts as assigned

What You Bring

• Current Michigan EMT Certification (unrestricted)

• Indiana EMT credential (preferred but not required)

• NREMT certification (preferred but not required)

• EVOC Certification (or willingness to complete post-hire)

• BLS, PHTLS, and S.T.A.B.L.E. (provided by Beacon, if needed)

• 1 year of EMT experience preferred

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills

• Ability to report to Memorial Hospital South Bend within 30 minutes when on-call
