The Senior Digital Transformation Strategist plays a pivotal role in driving enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives at Beacon Health System. This position leads the development, implementation, and optimization of digital product strategies that modernize healthcare delivery, improve operational efficiency, and elevate patient and provider experiences. The strategist will oversee transformative projects including digital platforms, web and mobile experiences, workflow digitization, and cross-platform integration. Digital platforms can include online scheduling, web experiences, the Oracle Health patient portal, patient text communications, provider directory, digital intake, and digital patient feedback. The role also includes managing Digital Strategists, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Innovation

Collaborates with the Director to define and execute a digital transformation roadmap across Beacon Health System.

Identifies and champions opportunities for digital innovation, automation, and modernization across business and clinical operations.

Stays abreast of emerging digital health trends and technologies to ensure strategic alignment and competitiveness.
Program & Project Leadership
-
Leads large-scale digital transformation initiatives from conception to deployment, including digital front door strategies, patient portals, digital intake, communications, and provider platforms.

Creates and oversees technology implementations along with Digital Strategists that meet Level 0/1 goals, Digital or Portal Roadmap milestones, and/or any other initiatives as identified by senior leadership.

Oversees planning, budgeting, ROI analysis, and execution of digital projects that support enterprise goals.

Manages troubleshooting issues that arise with any digital products, in coordination with Digital Strategists and IT and other leadership.

Defines and tracks KPIs to measure progress, adoption, and impact of transformation initiatives.
Team & Vendor Management

Supervises Digital Strategists, providing mentorship, performance evaluation, and development opportunities.

Collaborates with external technology partners and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of digital solutions.

Facilitates cross-functional alignment, removing obstacles and fostering a collaborative, agile working environment.

Assists the Director in recruiting, hiring, evaluating, and coaching staff.

Ensures that Digital Strategists hold superior and current skillsets relative to their positions at Beacon.
Change Enablement & Stakeholder Engagement

Builds strong relationships with stakeholders across departments, ensuring digital initiatives are co-created and adopted successfully.

Acts as a change agent, driving cultural adoption of digital-first thinking through communication, training, and engagement strategies.

Leads strategic planning sessions with clinical, operational, and IT leaders to align on vision, priorities, and execution plans.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

7–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare or similar regulated industries.

5 years of leadership in digital transformation, innovation, or digital health strategy.
Knowledge & Skills

Proven experience in leading digital transformation across complex organizations.

Strong understanding of digital platforms (e.g., patient portals, scheduling tools, registration tools, CRM systems, web/mobile experiences).

Strategic thinker with experience in agile methodologies, change management, and stakeholder engagement.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
