Job Title: Intake Specialist
Hours: Part time (20-25 hours/week with some flexibility)
Location: Mostly remote and with in-office opportunities
Job Summary: Assisting attorneys by talking to potential clients and gathering information to facilitate the intake process and onboard new clients.
Key Areas of Responsibility for Intake Specialist Duties
· Scheduling timely intakes with potential clients and keeping updated availability on website
· Ensuring potential clients fill out intake forms and provide necessary information and that the information is properly organized on the case management systems (e.g., MyCase and Dropbox)
· Reviewing intake forms and any information provided by potential client in advance of intake call
· Conducting intake calls with the goal of trying to keep the initial intake at 30 minutes if possible and using supportive communication with a mind towards trauma-informed interviewing
· Following up with potential clients to collect key relevant documentation and ensuring they don’t send documents we don’t want (e.g., illegal recordings, HIPAA-protected or attorney-client privileged information, etc)
· Responding, referring out, and/or providing resources useful resources to potential clients in a timely manner
· Taking thorough notes on intake calls for attorneys to review
· Engaging a basic understanding of employment law topics to be able to spot key employment issues as they arise
· Scheduling and leading timely meetings with attorneys to discuss intake calls and provide initial impressions on potential clients
· Tracking intake calls and referrals in an organized manner
· As appropriate, assisting paralegal with opening and setting up new client case files
· Other intake-related tasks as assigned by attorneys
Qualifications
· Skills and experience in customer service-type roles and/or organizational management
· Good communication style with a mind towards trauma-informed practices
· Demonstrated interest in employment law and social justice
· Prior experience in law firm settings with case-related tasks
· Proficiency in Microsoft office (e.g., Word, Excel) and social media platforms
Compensation
· $20.40/hour to be paid bi-monthly
· Discretionary bonuses

· $20 each pay period as a cell phone reimbursement with expectation that the personal phone will be used for work through a phone application for business
