The company has been experiencing steady growth and needs individuals willing to invest in learning about the industry.
Beacon | Rex Williams is looking for a Contract Sales Estimator - Division 10 to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT.
Responsibilities
- Collect plans and specifications for bids.
- Track the progress of bids and generate team reports weekly.
- Pursue new business through current customer relationships.
- Maintain the contract sales - estimating team calendar and files.
- Perform detailed take-offs and material calculations accurately and efficiently.
- Read and understand architectural plans and specifications to provide the correct products for each bid.
- Evaluate plans and specifications and work within contractors' plan sites to find bid opportunities.
- Work directly with general contractors and vendors to negotiate bids.
- Update proposals as necessary in a quick and timely manner.
- Value engineer projects to meet owners' financial needs and timelines.
- Utilize estimating software to create proposals.
- Maintain client and general contractor relationships by answering cost-related questions and providing design and budgetary assistance.
- Convert hardware specifications from one manufacturer to another without losing intent or function.
- Attend pre-award meetings and site visits as assigned/necessary.
Qualifications

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and fluid schedule.
- Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and compute percentages, taxes, and hourly rates.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Team player with a positive go-getter attitude.
- Comfortable learning new computer program systems and proficient in general computer knowledge and skills.
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Self-motivated, a quick learner, and a problem solver.
- Knowledge of the commercial construction industry or experience with architectural plans and specifications is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction means, methods, production rates, and materials.
Additional Information
This position is Full-Time in Office.
Schedule is Monday - Thursday, 7am - 5pm, and Friday 8am - 12pm.
Salary is based on experience. Starting range is generally $55,000 - $65,000
Pay: $55, $70,000.00 per year
