Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides compassionate oncology nursing care to patients
- Administers prescribed chemotherapy and biologic treatments in accordance with nursing standards and under the direct supervision of a physician
- Administers hydration, iron treatments and injections as prescribed
- Monitors patients and assists them in being compliant with oral chemotherapy
- Educates and instruct patients and family members regarding medications and side effects
- Accesses ports, PICC lines and start IVs
- Oversees infusion schedules and maintains timely flow of patients
- Perform therapeutic phlebotomy

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Compassionate and caring bedside manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work extremely well in a group setting
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Education:
- Idaho RN License, required upon hire
- CPR/BLS certification, required upon hire
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card, upon hire or within 90 days of employment
- BSN, preferred
- OCN certification, preferred
- Infusion experience, strongly preferred
- Medical oncology and rheumatology terminology, appreciated but not required
