Mental Health Counselor/Social Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to work in our adult mental health outpatient treatment program. Come join our healthcare team at our Amherst location, the hours are Monday - Friday 9am-6pm. No evenings, weekends, or on call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in social work, with a strong clinical background and be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

We provide supervision and in addition to Beacon Center’s comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, all Full-Time positions may be eligible for up to a $2,500 sign on bonus.

Duties

· Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment planning for patients.

· Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition.

· Conduct therapy sessions as needed – Individual, Group, Family.

· Document patient progress and work with external sources as appropriate.

· Work under Supervision within the Scope of Practice

· Other Duties as assigned

Requirements

· Bachelor's or Master's degree

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

· Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on empathy and understanding.

· Ability to handle high-stress situations effectively while maintaining professionalism.

Educational/Credential Requirements:

Associates Degree with specialization in Substance Use Disorder Counseling

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or in a similar career field.

LMSW, LMHC, LMHC-p, CASAC or CASAC-T preferred but not mandatory.
