QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Licensure in Social Work or healthcare related field (Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Counseling) or Bachelors degree in a healthcare related field with 5 years psychiatric experience or 10 years psychiatric experience required.

 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Beacon Behavioral Health.

 

  1. Uphold and embody Beacon Behavioral Health’s 5 Commandments for Exceptional Customer Service. 

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 

  • Schedules face-to-face level of care screenings with individuals seeking treatment within 24 hours of initial inquiry call.  
  • Facilitate face-to-face level of care determinations. 
  • Upon completion of level of care determination, prior to committing client to our services, the Clinical Liaison will communicate clinical findings and financial issues with the Program Director who will inform the physician and obtain approval to schedule admission. 
  • If referral to community resources is recommended, the Clinical Liaison will assist in referrals to the appropriate level of care. If/when admission to Beacon services is recommended and approved, this will be communicated to the client and/or caregiver, Clinical Liaison will facilitate obtaining client’s signatures on all necessary admission paperwork into the recommended services. 
  • Receives and manages inquiry calls, documents information in an accurate and timely manner to assure rapid response to referral sources and/or patients and the appropriate tracking of information occurs. 
  • Review patient information obtained during initial inquiry to determine necessity for level of care determination.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Effectively communicates the scope of services offered by Beacon Behavioral Hospital demonstrating a base knowledge of services, regulatory requirements, accreditation rules and reimbursements issues.
  • Completes Daily Productivity Log to ensure maximum time management. 
  • Maintains referral log and communicates referral information to the Program Director.
  • Manages a database of referral and patient populations maintaining a customer profiling and tracking system that ensures the agency is meeting the needs of its customers.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with referral sources, clients and staff. 
  • Educates the physicians, referral sources and community about the services of Beacon Behavioral Hospital and Beacon Behavioral Outpatient. 
  • Acts as liaison with referral sources and identifies the benefits of services to the community and potential clients. 
  • Participates in local organizations, associations, and activities related to community health services. 
  • Assists in scheduling, coordinating and executing health fairs and other group forums as appropriate.
  • Obtains pre-certification for services from insurance companies and maintains communication with the billing department as needed regarding patient’s payer sources. 
  • If licensed, provides coverage of group and documentation of any service provided.

Part-Time, approximately 20-25 hours per week.
