Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Chauffers' License and/or CDL to drive Beacon vans as our primary means of transporting our clients.
- Proven experience in transportation management or a similar driving role.
- Ability to read and interpret maps and GPS navigation systems effectively.
- Knowledge of and compliance with all applicable traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Physical ability to assist patients and handle loading/unloading of medical supplies when required.
- Previous experience working in the healthcare or social assistance industry.
- Certification in defensive driving or specialized driver safety training.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.
- Basic first aid, CPR and CPI certification.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport patients, medical staff, and healthcare supplies to designated locations on schedule.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes using maps and GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle when necessary, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays encountered during transportation.
