Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)


Roles and Responsibilities

The BCBA Supervisor is responsible for implementing and maintaining ABA programing under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Clinical Director. The BCBA Supervisor will supervise case supervisors within a 3-tier model. He or she is responsible for maintaining targets and goals, updating client’s programs, meeting with parents, etc. He or she is also responsible for conducting FBA's and writing progress reports under the supervision of the CEO.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the CEO, Case Supervisors, RBTs and BT’s to provide intervention, conduct assessments, write progress reports and develop programs for assigned cases.
  • Maintain data reliability and fidelity checks regularly. Plans and leads monthly progress updates for each family served with program team.
  • Assists in creating and delivering specific intervention activities and provides parent education according to treatment plan or other individualized assessments.
  • Monitors the skill acquisition of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and related disorders.
  • Completes necessary documentation including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports and exit summaries, and keeps updated with other programs, and participant-related documents and reports.
  • Provides and coordinates on-going competency-based staff training. Attends staff meetings, in-services, treatment planning, and other meetings as requested.
  • Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in Autism, ABA, special education and related fields.
  • Maintains frequent, professional and courteous communications with participants and families. Communicates parental concerns and needs immediately to the case supervisor.
  • Provide fieldwork supervision for student analysts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A Valid BCBA Certification
    • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university in Psychology, Education/Special Education, Child Development, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and related field.
    • Two (2) years of professional experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
    • Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written), and the ability to provide feedback in a constructive manner.
    • Knowledgeable of evidence-based practices and scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit children with ASD, familiar with current research findings.
    • Familiar with the approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Behavior Skills Training (BST), Functional Communication Training (FCT), and Experimental Functional Analysis (EFA). Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies.
    • Strong clinical, administrative, and leadership skills; customer service orientated and professional.
    • Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills with a variety of individuals and groups. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups.
    • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
    • Demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and related computer software.
    • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
    • Ability to pass background/fingerprint clearance and obtain immunizations (TB clearance).
    • Reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver's license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration
    • Must be willing to travel to assigned work sites (25 mile radius from home).


    BENEFITS

    Exempt employees (full-time) are entitled to a full benefit package. Non-exempt employees (part-time) are entitled to PTO and sick time accrual.
