Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to process customer orders efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Engage with customers, providing exceptional service while taking orders and answering questions about menu items.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for register operations.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Time management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and food preparation techniques.
- Basic math skills for cashiering duties and retail math applications.
- Familiarity with food service operations within the café or food industry is advantageous.
