Job Title: Retail Manager – Men’s Tailored Clothing
Position Summary:
The Retail Manager for Men’s Tailored Clothing leads the tailored clothing business within a luxury department store environment, driving sales, cultivating a high-touch client experience, and maintaining elevated presentation standards consistent with premium and designer brands. This role is responsible for developing a high-performing sales team, overseeing merchandising and operations, and ensuring best-in-class service for discerning clientele seeking tailored menswear, suiting, and luxury wardrobe consultation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the men’s tailored clothing team to achieve and exceed sales, margin, and clienteling goals
- Deliver an elevated luxury shopping experience through personalized wardrobe consultation, fit expertise, and relationship-driven selling
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop associates on luxury service standards, styling, product knowledge, and selling techniques
- Build and maintain a strong clientele book; drive repeat business through outreach, appointments, and client follow-up
- Partner with alteration/tailoring teams to ensure precise fittings, timely delivery, and exceptional garment presentation
- Oversee visual merchandising and floor presentation to maintain luxury brand standards and seasonal merchandising directives
- Analyze sales reports, KPI performance, and business trends to identify opportunities and implement growth strategies
- Manage inventory integrity, stock flow, replenishment, and markdown execution
- Ensure operational excellence in scheduling, opening/closing procedures, compliance, and loss prevention
- Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and discretion consistent with luxury service expectations
- Collaborate with vendor representatives and brand partners to maximize assortment and business opportunities
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success leading teams and driving high-volume sales performance
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and client relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to manage KPIs, sales reporting, and retail business metrics
- Experience working in a luxury department store or upscale specialty retail environment preferred
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
