Delivery Driver and Setup Crew Member

At Beachview Event Rentals & Design, we take pride in providing top-quality event rentals and tent services. We are currently hiring motivated Delivery Driver and Setup Crew Member for our Brunswick, Ga. location.

The Delivery Driver and Setup Crew Member is responsible for driving company vehicles to deliver event equipment and inventory to various locations, setting up and breaking down equipment for events and working with event coordinator to make sure each event is a success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates company vehicles in a professional, safe and courteous manner.
• Delivers equipment to and picks it up from various locations in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable state, local and DOT regulations.
• Ensures delivery and pick up of appropriate inventory in accordance with customer contracts.
• Ensures delivery vehicles are clean, performs daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions and maintenance needs to management.
• Completes appropriate safety training and certifications. Complies with all DOT regulations.
• Applies knowledge of all company products and services to best meet the company’s and customers’ needs.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with managers and other team members to reach common goals; listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other team members.
• Assists in setup and breakdown of equipment as instructed by production team leader.
• Assists production team leader in assuring that all orders are accurate and that all inventory quantities and condition are accurate at delivery and pickup.
• Ensures customer messages/communications are relayed to appropriate management/salespersons.
• Wraps, stores and loads inventory appropriately on pick up.
• Fills out all paperwork and informs management of any issues on delivery/pick up.
• Operates forklift, hand truck, pallet and/or electric jack as needed.
• Assists with inventory and projects at the warehouse as needed.
• Reports any discrepancies or damaged inventory with deliveries or pickups to the appropriate salesperson or manager immediately.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in general labor, warehouse, or tent rental industry is a plus
• Ability to lift 80 pounds frequently
• Ability to stand, kneel and work with water for extended periods of time
• Attention to detail and pride in producing clean, high-quality work
• Must have good communication skills, including speaking, writing, and reading.
• Must have good organizational and time management skills
• Math aptitude is preferred
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record required

Work Environment and Safety Hazards:

• Work is performed outdoors and involves exposure to weather and natural elements.
• Required to work in hot or cold environments
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Requires frequent bending, lifting, and manual handling of large inventory pieces

Note: This position does require the employee to travel at times.
