Job Title: Full-Time Medical Receptionist

Beach Wellness MD is a patient-centered medical practice specializing in nonsurgical vascular treatments and advanced wound care for chronic wounds. Led by Dr. Ali Golshan, we are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team in Redding, CA. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in both clinical and front desk settings.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk / Reception Duties (approx. 80%)
- Own all inbound phone calls, communicating in a professional and friendly manner with all patients and partners; schedule appointments promptly; consistently send out and manage reminders and follow-up appointment scheduling
- Verify insurance, collect co-pays and other relevant patient information
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression, and manage patient check-in/out
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage incoming faxes, messages, and referrals
- Ensure all referral information is maintained and kept up to date in a central repository
- Support office flow and ensure waiting area is clean and organized
Back Office Duties (approx. 20%)
- Facilitate patient intake by escorting patients to exam rooms and entering data into the EHR system.
- Assist clinical staff with procedures and documentation
- Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock supplies
- Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality at all times
- Support clinical team with other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Warm, friendly and polite personality
- Experience using EHR systems
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting
- Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- CPR Certification
Schedule & Location
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- In-person position only
- Must be able to commute to Redding, CA and Chico, CA or Relocate.
