What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector: Vacation Rental Inspector - Seasonal position at Beach Escapes Rentals?
Beach Escapes Rentals manages nearly 60 vacation rental properties along the Emerald Coast, from one bedroom condos to large homes. We are seeking inspectors to assist our property management team during the upcoming busy season! Job duties:
- Inspect vacation rentals on Saturdays and some Sundays between about 11 AM and 4 PM; you will follow a detailed checklist to ensure cleanliness and functionality of the rental property prior to the guests' check-in.
- Report and document and cleanliness or maintenance concerns.
- Check for any items left behind by guests and return them to our office.
- Change light bulbs or batteries occasionally if you find one is in need of replacement during inspection (these will be provided for you).
- Communicate with management about status of the rental and readiness for check-in.
Important Qualities or Skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to move quickly and efficiently
- Detail-oriented
- Problem solving skills
- Dependable
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the team
- Understanding of technology such as wireless internet, tv's and cable; ability to perform basic trouble shooting such as checking plugs, resetting devices, etc.
- Experience is a plus but not required
This job is extremely important! Our inspectors are the last set of eyes on a property before a guest checks in, and first impressions are everything!
Schedule and Location
- Saturday availability required, but you can still enjoy your evenings and nights - work will take place primarily between 11 AM and 4 PM!
- Sunday availability preferred, same hours at Saturdays
- Prefer availability to go to any property from Destin to 30A. We will assign you properties all in a general location so you aren't trying to cover that full stretch of land. We can work with you to assign you properties near where you live when possible.
- Assigned properties with all door codes and other necessary information or items will be provided to you on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning

Compensation:
$150 for "full day" of inspections. This will consist of a list of approximately 8-12 properties. The length of the list will depend on size and location of assigned units. This is a 1099 position.
