Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Land Surveyor Draftsman to join our dynamic surveying team. Duties
- Convert survey measurements and field data into detailed 2D drawings and plans using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software AutoCAD.
- Develop accurate topographical maps, site layouts, and boundary plans based on survey data.
- Collaborate closely with land surveyors to interpret field notes and ensure drawings reflect real-world conditions precisely.
- Prepare schematics, construction layouts, and mechanical design drafts for infrastructure projects.
- Utilize SketchUp and NavisWorks for 3D modeling and visualization of land development projects.
- Assist in creating detailed construction documents and schematics to facilitate project execution.
- Support the review of project plans for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain organized digital files of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation for easy access and updates.
- Participate in project meetings to clarify design details and incorporate feedback into drafts.
- Ensure all drafting work adheres to safety standards, technical specifications, and client requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in CAD drafting within civil engineering or land surveying environments is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, SketchUp, NavisWorks, SolidWorks or similar software tools.
- Familiarity with drafting for construction projects including schematics, mechanical designs, and 2D animations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of land surveying processes and the ability to interpret survey data accurately.
- Experience working on infrastructure or land development projects will be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including surveyors, engineers, architects, and contractors.
