Role Description The Assistant Baseball Team Coach is a part or full-time, on-site role based in El Segundo, CA. This role supports head coaches in planning and running team practices, drills, and game-day warmups, focusing on skill development, fundamentals, and game awareness for players of varying ages and ability levels. The Assistant Coach will demonstrate proper techniques, provide individual feedback, and help implement training plans that leverage the Academy’s technology and facilities. Responsibilities include assisting with player evaluations, maintaining a positive and safe training environment, communicating effectively with players and families, and reinforcing team culture, sportsmanship, and academic expectations. The role may also involve supporting seasonal camps, clinics, and special events as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong baseball knowledge and skills, including Baseball fundamentals and Coaching Baseball techniques.
- Experience in Coaching and Training athletes, ideally in youth or competitive travel baseball environments.
- Clear, supportive Communication skills with players, families, and coaching staff.
- Ability to model positive leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship on and off the field.
- Prior coaching or playing experience at the youth, high school, collegiate, or club level preferred.
- Availability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends in line with practice and game schedules.
- Commitment to a safe training environment, including adherence to all facility and player safety guidelines.
- Background check and any required coaching certifications or safety trainings, or willingness to obtain them.
Salary : $25 - $35
