What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Ministry Coordinator position at Beach Church Jax?
BeachKids is a space where all kids belong. The focus of the ministry is to raise up kids to follow Jesus!
Goal of Position: Help create an exciting, positive worship environment on a Sunday morning by championing the pursuit of community. We do this via life groups and large group worship as we connect God’s word to a child’s everyday life. Our goal is that they grow in their relationship with Jesus. This coordinator will play a pivotal role in working with volunteers and building a community where kids experience Jesus.
Responsibilities
- Editing and Building Orange Curriculum for Life Groups for the following groups: Preschool (Ages 1&2; 3&4); Elementary (Kindergarten & 1st grade; 2nd and 3rd grade; 4th and 5th grade).
- Editing and Building Orange Curriculum for Large Group Worship for both Preschool and Elementary environments
- Scheduling volunteers via Planning Center
- Recruiting, onboarding, communicating with volunteers
- Leading volunteers spiritually both on Sunday mornings and throughout the week
- Coordinate and plan special events such as: KidsKamp, Unwrapped, Baptisms, and Family Dedications
- Collaborating with the BeachKids and Family Ministry Team to drive the mission and vision forward
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in ministry related field. Ideally, this degree will pertain to child and family ministry or studies.
- Two years of experience preferred, ideally working with kids, students, or family ministry and volunteers.
