Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team at Be You ABA as a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). In this critical role, you will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior management plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your focus will be on supporting clients in achieving their behavioral goals through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques, fostering a positive and enriching environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Accurately and consistently collect and record data on client progress and behaviors.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and interventions.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of client information.
- Assist in the development of tailored behavior management strategies for each client.
- Provide support in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
Experience:
- Previous experience in behavioral health or special education is preferred.
- Essential knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices related to behavioral therapy is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors while maintaining a calm and supportive demeanor.
