About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. The technician will work closely with various departments to address maintenance needs promptly and effectively. A strong focus on safety and compliance with industry standards is essential to maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to the overall guest experience by ensuring that all facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in maintenance roles, particularly in commercial settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, appliance repair, and basic mechanical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in HVAC or electrical systems.
• Experience with welding and fabrication.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in the accommodation and food services industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on commercial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical wiring issues, appliance malfunctions, and mechanical problems.
• Perform basic welding tasks as needed to ensure structural integrity of equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond to urgent repair requests.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies.

Skills:
