Busy Brooklyn medical office is seeking a Credentialing Specialist for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have the ability to work within a team environment, and will be highly dependable. In addition, has to possess organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Complies and maintains current and accurate data for all providers.
- Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications, monitors and follow-up as needed.
- Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
- Maintains knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for credentialing providers.
- Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and systems.
- Tracks license and certification expiration for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
- Ensures practice addresses are current worth health plans, agencies and other entities.
- Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information.
- Maintains confidentiality of provider information.
- Provides credentialing and privileges verifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: One-two years of relevant credentialing experience.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
