We are searching for a friendly, dependable, energetic and experienced FULL TIME Medical Assistant for a busy Primary Care/Internal Medicine Practice in Denton, TX. In this role you will be responsible to perform procedures that are part of our Ancillary Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Taking histories and vitals
· Scheduling diagnostic tests and procedures
· Phone triage and Patient education
· Follow provider documenting visit with the patient into the EMR as requested
· Send orders and prescriptions as needed.
· Prepping for upcoming appointments, to include ensuring insurance verification is completed
· Getting referrals processed in a timely manner·
· Completing appropriate paperwork and charts as required
· Understanding of diagnosis and CPT codes
· Experience with EKGs, ear irrigation, administer nebulizer treatments
· Administering vaccines
· Ability to learn and perform Ancillary Services, to include Allergy Testing and other procedures
To be successful in this role, you have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. You should be able to work independently or with the team and be able to motivate others. The position will be trained to perform all the ancillary services we offer, including insurance verification and billing for these services.
Qualifications
· Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
· Primary care: 1 year (Required)
· Proficient in EMR systems (eClinicalWorks)
· Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Must be detail oriented and demonstrate time management skills
· Ability to multi-task while remaining focused upon providing exceptional patient care & service
· Professional appearance and demeanor
· Medical administrative support experience
· Basic life support certification
· Strong patient service and care skills
· Familiarity with CPT coding, vital signs, medical terminology and intake processes
References/Background check required.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Salary: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
