What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Be Unique ABA?
We are looking for experienced Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians looking to make a difference at a small, locally owned, and community focused organization.
What we are offering:
- We start at competitive rates of compensation and we don't differentiate between billable/non-billable time. If you are at our center working we honor the same pay rate regardless of the task.
- We work to meet each individual where they are both as a provider but also an employer. If you are looking for full time or part time we will always do our best to ensure consistency in your pay and hours. Many of our staff have children or demanding school schedules or a need for a minimum number of hours each week.
- We are a center based ABA provider with some involvement in schools but we do not expect or enforce transportation of clients or in-home involvement.
- We are on-ground! We do not utilize telehealth as a mode of supervision or treatment for our clients. We believe the best outcomes in the shortest period of time come from an engaged in-person team including the BCBA. We have a team of 4 highly qualified BCBA's with two PhD candidates all on ground.
- We support growth! Are you looking to grow your career in ABA? Going to school to obtain your BCBA? We are happy to help support the documentation/hours requirements and have multiple supervisory qualified BCBA's on staff.
What we are looking for:
- Open minded individuals that can work with a diverse population of children and families. Cultural sensitivity is necessary in ensuring the efficacy of our therapies.
- Good communicators. There are a lot of moving pieces within ABA and disruptions to the schedules can be frustrating both for families and technicians but good communication can help us all navigate the day to day better.
- People and Culture first attitude. Be Unique ABA was started as an effort to bring better therapies to the community but also to foster a better workplace. We spent many years working for large companies and found that we desired a deeper connection with the people we support in all aspects of the business.
- Ready to be active! It may not be full out sprints and jumping jacks every day but this can be a demanding job physically. Up and down, transitions from room to room, picking up a marble or Lego for the 100th time... it's challenging but fun! (Don't worry we offer breaks and supports at all times!)
