What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position at Be Heard Speech Therapy?
Location:
Covina, CA, in office
Schedule:
- Looking for a part-time therapist to provide in-clinic speech therapy Thursday 2pm-8pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm.
- Opportunity to increase hours if therapist open to providing in-home therapy.
Compensation:
$40-45/hr, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy to clients in-clinic
- Provide direct treatment assistance to identify students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Follow and implement documented treatment plans developed by a supervising SLP
- Document student progress toward meeting established objectives, and report the information to a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist an SLP during assessment, assisting with formal documentation, preparing materials, and performing clerical duties for a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
Requirements:
- Possession of valid registration as a Speech/Language Pathology Assistant with the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board
- One year experience working with individuals with speech and language disabilities in a structured environment, preferably in the clinic setting
