We are seeking a detail-oriented and clinically collaborative professional to join our surgical guide dental laboratory team. This role focuses on hands on design, 3D printing, fabrication and final adjustment of the surgical guides and models.
The Role
The Dental Lab Technician will play a critical role in the hands-on processing of the guides and models. This position requires both strong technical lab skills and excellent interpersonal communication.
What You'll Do
Laboratory & Technical Responsibilities
- Fabricate, adjust, and finish surgical guides and study models to case specifications
- Adjust and modify models based on doctor feedback or case design changes
- Operate and maintain lab equipment including 3D printers, model trimmers, lab motors, compressor, and suction units.
- Maintain organized inventory of lab materials, consumables, and components.
- Keep the lab environment clean along with other assigned responsibilities
What You'll Bring
Required
- Experience working in a dental laboratory, surgical lab, or clinical support role
- Familiarity with surgical guides, implant models, or prosthetic fabrication
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - comfortable presenting case information to doctors
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving ability in a hands-on environment
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Proficiency with computer-based case management
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
Preferred
- Dental laboratory technician certification (CDT) or equivalent training
- Experience with implant-guided surgery workflows and CBCT planning software
- Background working with oral surgeons, periodontists, or prosthodontists
- Startup or fast-paced small team experience
- Familiarity with 3D printing and digital fabrication in a dental context
What Else to Know
- This is a full-time position; occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required to meet case deadlines
- Work is performed primarily in the laboratory
- Standing and fine motor work is required throughout the day
- Exposure to lab materials, resins, and moderate noise levels; PPE will be provided
