We are assisting our client in the hiring of a Software Development Project Manager who can balance project delivery discipline with agile leadership.
Our client provides cloud-based collection software solutions for banks, credit unions, and fintechs to collect and manage their portfolios.
Specifically, they provide the technology and data necessary to increase collections efficiency, provide a digital consumer experience, reduce staff costs, anticipate delinquencies, and provide insight into future credit decisions.
Position requires that you’re local to Malvern, PA.
The Development Project Manager facilitates communication, manages risks, and drives accountability across the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with tracking timelines, managing risks, reporting to stakeholders, facilitating stand-ups, and supporting team growth.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, feature reviews, retrospectives, and other agile-oriented ceremonies as appropriate.
- Coordinate dependencies across teams and functional areas to ensure efficient and seamless delivery.
- Support release planning to ensure features are delivered on schedule and aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor workloads and assist with effective task allocation among development team members.
- Provide delivery plan reporting to the operations management team on a recurring basis, including feature status, burndown, and risks.
- Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and potential blockers; develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Escalate issues as needed and ensure timely resolution to maintain project momentum.
- Drive accountability within cross-functional teams and help remove impediments that may impact delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scalability, efficiency, and overall team performance.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in software project management, ideally in SaaS or FinTech.
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP, CSM, etc) a plus.
- Strong understanding of agile concepts (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional project management practices.
- Familiarity with software development concepts, APIs, CI/CD, and QA/testing processes.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
