BEI Framing, established in 1992 by Joe Bates, started as a residential framing and custom home building company in Central Indiana. With its operational efficiency and ability to handle complex architectural designs, BEI quickly grew and transitioned into commercial framing contracts, expanding its market footprint to a national scale with a focus on Senior Living, Student Housing, and mixed-use development projects. In 2015, BEI vertically integrated by founding sister-company Bates Squared, a mobile panelization manufacturer, and further integrated by hiring an in-house wall panel designer in 2017. In 2021 BEI was purchased by Clayton Nicholson and has brought many innovations and modern practices to the company. Today, BEI boasts completed projects all over the United States with a workforce of over 100 employees and two fully functional mobile panelization plants. BEI now acts as a single point of contact for General Contractors, partnering with lumber brokerage firms to provide raw materials to each job.

Our company is looking for an accounting professionally who ideally has experience working with construction companies. You will play a vital role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating and maintaining efficient financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate data entry for all financial transactions
  • Management of the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation
  • Development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
  • Preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversight of billing and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections
  • Compilation and review of daily cash reports
  • Coordination and completion of construction waivers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • Experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
  • Knowledge of the Construction industry is a plus
