Job Summary
As a Concrete Foreman/Finisher, you will be responsible for smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete such as floors, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools. You must be able to work efficiently with a team and perform physical labor in outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Set forms to required pitch and depth; ensure alignment, elevation, and contour
- Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels
- Finish concrete surfaces using various techniques (float, trowel, broom, stamp)
- Apply curing compounds or other surface treatments as needed
- Patch voids and use chisels or grinders to smooth high spots
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist in site cleanup and material handling as needed
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in concrete finishing or general concrete work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications
- Familiar with hand tools, power trowels, and finishing equipment
- Must be physically able to perform demanding work (lifting, kneeling, standing for long periods)
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to travel for non-local projects if required
