The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Biomedical Equipment Technician to support healthcare facilities across the country.
This role is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, restoring, and maintaining biomedical equipment while ensuring compliance with healthcare safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to healthcare facilities nationwide for extended periods
- Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on biomedical equipment
- Conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection of biomedical equipment
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, schedules, product usage, and equipment condition reports
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning and disinfecting supplies and notify supervisors of shortages
- Follow OSHA guidelines and hospital infection control standards
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials
Requirements
- Ability to travel for months at a time (100% travel required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician
- Must pass random drug testing
- Strong reliability and work ethic
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Spanish is a plus (not required)
