Job Summary

F- Shift / Night shift 8pm-8am (3-2-2-3 schedule)

The primary responsibility of this position will be to operate equipment used in the manufacturing process. The operator will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on production equipment as well as troubleshooting when necessary. This person will work closely with other departments such as Quality Assurance and Maintenance to ensure product specifications are met.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various types of presses.

• Perform changeovers between products or batches.

• Performs routine maintenance on presses.

• Troubleshoots basic issues with presses and makes minor repairs.

• Observes operation of presses and adjusts as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.

• Works safely and reports any unsafe conditions or injuries immediately.

• Adheres to all FDA regulations, GMP’s, HSE policies and procedures.

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of area.

• Communicates effectively and wears proper identification.

Qualifications

• Ability to read/write English documents.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.

• Experience working in a fast paced and evolving environment.

• Ability to work overtime as required (both during the week and on call).

• Previous experience operating presses preferred.

• Mechanically inclined.

• Training/certification in operating presses preferred.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Work Environment:

• BD is a smoke-free campus. Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy

• False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewelry is not allowed on the production floor including dermals. Any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor.

• Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
