Job Description Summary

Our Information Security team identifies and assesses security risks, delivers valuable security insight, and helps develop systems of enterprise-class security.As an Information Security Officer for our R&D organization, you will establish and maintain the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure R&D information asset and technology risks are adequately handled. You will be responsible for orchestrating the adoption of the cybersecurity framework within R&D (e.g. risk assessment, awareness/training, incident response, critical initiatives, and external engagements) while engaging leadership to report on status and coordinate initiatives. This position reports directly to the Director of Governance, Information Security and will collaborate with internal partners to ensure integration and efficacy of security initiatives.
Job Description
- Provide leadership to the company's information security programs, including developing and managing the R&D Corporate Information Security Program (CISP), related policies and standards.
- Assist and direct organization in the daily execution of identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining processes to reduce strategic business and information risks.
- Utilize available corporate resources with expertise in security testing, architecture, incident response and program management.
- Ensure R&D adoption of cybersecurity framework activities
- Track and report alignment to cybersecurity requirements internally, as well as maintaining and updating R&D security risk register.
- Lead multi-functional working teams and work with Business, Function, and Regional leadership to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans and critical initiatives.
- Monitor and advise management of industry and regulatory changes affecting information security, working proactively to help the company understand and address any changes.
Qualifications
A successful candidate will be a superb communicator who is adept at articulating priorities and taking a phased, efficient, and intentional approach. They will have proven management skills and can mobilize, empower, mentor and lead a matrixed team towards a common vision and set of objectives. Utilizing their excellent analytical and problem solving skills, they have had success addressing sophisticated issues and programs and delivering tough messages in a professional manner.
Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in project management, computer science or other technical field preferred.
- At least 5 years of technical experience in areas such as Product Security or Information Security.
- Proven ability to operate cross functionally to execute on corporate wide initiatives.
- Meticulous assessment skills when reviewing documents for accuracy and consistency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of healthcare industry, medical devices, IoT and intersection of IT and OT
- Professional security management certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP/ HCISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or other industry recognized IS credential)
- Project management certification
